JUNE 2021. Last June 1st, 2021, we started a new sugarcane harvesting season. In this opportunity we have prepared ourselves in a special way by making new investments in our processing plant and in the purchase of harvesters, as well as in large-scale repair and maintenance activities.
As usual the beginning of the season was given by a mass celebration in San Isidro Laborer (San Isidro Labrador) honor. The ceremony took place in our facilities and was attended by our directors, Campo Santo municipal authorities and the company’s personnel.
The expectations for this campaign are very interesting: we expect to produce 60 thousand tons of sugar. Out of which, 75 percent will be organic product for export.
But enthusiasm is not only experienced indoors but also in the whole Campo Santo community… It is well known that he sugarcane harvest season is a very joyful and auspicious time in the sugar community. In addition to the 400 direct jobs generated by our sugar mill between the factory and the field, it is estimated that the activity dynamics itself generates more than 6,000 indirect jobs.
